Framework Name: People Capability Maturity Model (P-CMM)

Description: This framework describes the key elements of managing and developing the work force of an organization. It describes an evolutionary path from an ad hoc approach to managing the workforce, to a mature, disciplined development of the knowledge, skills, and motivation of the people that fuel enhanced performance.
The purpose of the P-CMM is to enhance the readiness of software development and information systems organizations to undertake increasingly complex applications by helping them to attract, grow, motivate, deploy, and retain the talent necessary to improve their software development capability.
It was developed by the Software Engineering Institute, in cooperation with industry representatives.
The architecture of the P-CMM is composed of maturity levels (which indicate a process capability) that are composed of Key Process Areas (KPAs):
